In 8th grade girls basketball action from last night:
“It was a dark and dreary night”.......and that was inside the gym as the lady Rockets could not find the basket most of the night. The team shot 26% from the field and made only 13 of 40 free throws in their contest versus a good Jenison team. The team trailed almost the whole game but they showed enough grit and determination to keep battling. The team rallied and just missed a shot at the buzzer that would have won the game in regulation. The team then outscored Jenison 8-3 in overtime to earn a hard fought come from behind victory. The team is now 3-1. There is no rest for the Rockets as they travel to Mona Shores tonight to take on a good Mona Shores team. Next home game is Monday.
