The 8th grade Lady Rockets took home a victory last night against Grand Haven Blue. Alex Shockley started the game off strong with 3 back-to-back aces. They put up a fight in the first game, but the Buccaneers won 25-16. Game 2 started off with a 7 point deficit, but the players battled back to take home a 25-21 win. Lauren Nelson, Billie Tryska, Shaylynn Merriman, and Jillian Singleton all held their own behind the service line and contributed 6 aces to the game winning score. Billie Tryska came out with a bang in game 3 and served 6 straight aces to put the Rockets out ahead with a comfortable lead. R-P won 15-9. Great job, ladies!
