MONA SHORES MIDDLE SCHOOL: 0
The 8th grade Lady Rockets fought hard against Mona Shores. The girls put on an exciting display of volleyball and walked away winning one of the 3 games. Lauren Nelson started out game 1 strong, serving 8 straight points to put us in the lead. Sophia Hekkema added to the excitement with a strong block and tough defense. The first game was neck and neck until the very end, but the Sailors walked away with a 25-21 win. Game 2 was another nail-biter with great serves from Lauren Nelson, Jillian Singleton and clutch game-winning server Vanessa Rozycki. Mona Shores jumped out to big lead in game 3 and ultimately took the win with a score of 15-3.
The girls played hard and would love to have your support on Thursday at our next home game against Grand Haven. 7th grade starts at 4:00 and 8th grade follows at 5:15. Hope to see you there!
